Shivaji College Library has a diverse collection of over 82,597 (Eighty Two Thousand Five Hundred and Ninety-Seven) books and 739 CDs of various disciplines. The Library subscribes to 31 newspapers (including multiple copies), 16 magazines, and 07 print journals and has a rich collection of various reference sources such as encyclopaedias, dictionaries, atlases, yearbooks, etc. The Library also provides access to about 1.5 lacs e-books and other high-quality electronic databases subscribed by the Delhi University Library System (DULS); 6000+ e-journals and 1,99,500 e-books through the N-List Programme of INFLIBNET, 14377 Journals and 2,35,581 e-books through DELNET.
There are two air-conditioned reading halls for students and teachers with computer and internet facilities. Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) is available to ensure easy access of books. For visually challenged students, Braille kits, Braille Books, Angel Audio Players and other facilities are available in the library. The Library offers Inter- Library Loan facility to its users on request. Apart from these facilities users may also avail the property counter facility at the entrance of the library. Users are required to deposit their Bags (excluding valuable items such as money, passport, credit/debit cards/mobile phones etc.) with the property counter attendant before entering the library. The Library will not be responsible for any loss of personal belongings etc.
