TED Talks are influential videos from expert speakers on education, business, science, technology, creativity and other topics. TED stands for "technology, entertainment and design" and upholds its values and motives on these three pillars while delivering ideas to a global community. With its motto of “ideas worth spreading,” TED has created a programme called TEDx, where x represents an ‘independently organized TED event.’ TEDxShivajiCollege connects and gives a platform to speakers with ideas that change perspectives and have the common goal of promoting ideas that are engaging. At TEDx events, a screening of TED Talk videos, or a combination of live presenters and TED Talk videos are brought together to inspire new possibilities and actions at the local level. The TEDx event at Shivaji College corresponds with the mission of the college – “transform one life, transform the nation.” Only a handful of colleges in University of Delhi have conducted TEDx events so far.

TEDxShivajiCollege organized 5th edition of its annual event on the theme “Perception of Surfaces” which implies that each person has its own layers of belief which may reflect who they are and what they become. The event was organised on March 15, 2024. The event was graced by eminent speakers Mr. Mukul Juneja, Entrepreneur; Dr. Ishina Chaudhary, Psychologist; Mr. Mukul Chabra, Founder Scrap Uncle; Mr. Amit Saroha, Paralympian & Arjuna Awardee; Mr. Vish, Rapper-Performer; Mr. Deepak Nanda (aka The Indian Rock), Pro bodybuilder, Fitness trainer & influencer.
Shivaji College organized its fourth edition of TEDxShivajiCollege event on February 25, 2023 on the theme “Web of Life” which implies life is more than our fleeting existence in this world. The distinguished speakers included Kathak exponent Padmashri Shovana Narayan, Ms. Archana Singh, journalist and editor, Mr. Deepak Gupta, co-founder and COO at Bombay Shaving Company, army veteran Lt. Gen. Iqbal Singh Singha, Shariq Mustafa, tabla player of the thirkwa lineage, Captain Dharamveer Singh, certified marathon runner, national cricket player and a rider, Baljeet Kaur Bharti, the first and only Indian mountaineer to climb five 8000 meter peaks in a single season, and Mr. Harman Singha, actor and host. They spoke about how our lives and choices are interwoven into a universal tapestry containing threads of everyone else’s lives.
