Citius, Altius, Fortius – Faster, Higher, Stronger. The three immortal words of the Olympic Games constitute the spirit of sportsmanship. It matters not who won, but how the game is played. Sports at Shivaji College promote the spirit of healthy competition, teamwork, and synergy. A variety of events and competitions are held throughout the session. The college has a vast sports ground, which remains one of the largest in Delhi University.

Many students participated in various games and sports such as basketball, volleyball, chess, cricket, football, track and field and table tennis in Inter College Tournament organised by Delhi University Sports Council.
Sangeeta Gahlot, B.A Hindi (H) 1st Year won second position in 110mts hurdles in this tournament. Ravi Madwal, B.Sc Physics (H) 1st year participated as football player for Santosh trophy. Aman Jainwaal, BA Prog. 1st Year and Ankush Rathore, BA Prog.3rd Year, participated as cricket player for Ranji Trophy.
Colours filled the surroundings of the campus in celebration of the country’s independence. A kite-flying event was organised by the Department of Physical Education on August 14, 2019 in honour of Independence Day.
