Shivaji College has a very active placement cell that works round the year to provide internship and employment opportunities to its students. The cell also organizes skill development workshops, seminars and talks that give students ample insight into scenario prevailing in the current job market. Students can register themselves for placements/internships through the link on the college website. The cell also coordinates with the Central Placement Cell of the University of Delhi to ensure that students also have access to placements/ internships opportunities provided by companies that visit the University Campus. In various on-campus and off-campus drives in the year 2017-18 year our students were placed in many reputed companies like PWC, Ernst and Young, IBM, Vivo Global, Naukri.Com, Genpact, RBS and many others. The Placement Cell encourages students to take up internships during the summer break as it gives them the industry exposure and makes them ready for placements. The Cell organized an internship fair in the College which provided ample opportunities to students.
Placement Cell, Shivaji College organised an Online Workshop on May 11, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. on “Digital Marketing”. Mr. Dayal Shankar, Accounts Manager, Adobe Systems, Noida was the resource person who gave hands on exposure on the subject to a wide variety of participants.
The session commenced with the welcome address by the Convener of the Placement Cell, Ms. Suman Kharbanda followed by words of motivation from Principal, Dr. Shiv Kumar Sahdev. The guest speaker, Mr. Dayal Shankar talked about the concept of digital marketing, including its benefits, process and comparison with traditional marketing.
FIS Global, an international leader in technology and outsourcing services, visited the college campus on February 4, 2020 offering two high graded profiles namely Search Engine Optimization and Adwords Support. First, a Group Discussion was conducted by the company as a part of their recruitment process. Students who excelled in the GD round became eligible for PI round. 90+ diligent students applied for the drive which are finally placed in the company with a reputed title.
On March 4, 2020 the Placement Cell of Shivaji College, University of Delhi has successfully organised the Internship and Job fair in the college which focused on providing ample job opportunities for the Shivajians exclusively. Around 35 companies visited the campus. Among them were Sharekhan, GMR Aviation, Investosure, R1RCM and many more.
