The college has a vibrant Cultural Committee that provides a platform to students to showcase their creativity and talent. There are seven societies under the cultural committee such as music, fashion, dramatics, dance, fine arts, photography, and debating. The activities of the cultural committee are largely student driven with proper guidance from faculty members. These societies are active throughout the year. Besides helping students in honing their talent and skills, they organise their respective annual festivals.
Vibrations’20, the Annual Cultural Festival of Shivaji College, University of Delhi was held on February 20-21, 2020. The event was inaugurated by Padmashri Hansraj Hans, an Indian singer turned politician. The sensational Kathak duo sisters Nalini and Kamalini concluded the inaugural ceremony by their mesmerizing dance performance.
The two days of the fest was peppered with events such as ‘Tanzmania', the Western dance competition, the fashion show ‘Panache’, and an amazing performance by Bismil Band. The second day was filled with events such as Athena- The Turncoat Debate Competition, Udghosh, the street play competition, and Swaranjali, which saw a performance by the famous vocalist Ashwani Basoya.
Vibrations’20 ended with the Star Night, which showcased the pleasant and melodious notes of the Bollywood singer Jubin Nautiyal.
