Shivaji College has a sprightly Cultural Committee that provides a platform to students to hone and express their creative talents. There are seven societies under the cultural committee: Reverb - The Music Society, Bizarre - The Fashion Society, Vayam - The Dramatics Society, Footloose - The Dance Society, Vibgyor - The Fine Art Society, Shutterbugs - The Photography Society and Dictum - The Debating Society.
Acrylica 2023 - VIBGYOR, the fine arts society of Shivaji College, organized the seventh edition of its annual fest ACRYLICA '23 on April 24. The fest included four events: Sketch-Doo-Paint, an art battle of sketching, doodling, and painting; Polart, a Polaroid painting competition; Enchanted Forest, Vibgyor's very ownexhibition; and Rangkari, a workshop on watercolor painting. Many students came in the morning and they put up hangings and set up the models properly. 43 students attended the workshop and learn new things and had lot of fun in the workshop. An additional achievement for VIBGYOR was the creation of the first wall art in college. The portrait of the legendary warrior Shivaji was painted on a wall in a unique art style known as WPAP art. It was an amazing experience for society to create the college's first wall art.
Cinedrome 2023- Shutterbugs, the Shivaji College's film and photography society organized a two-day event (10th April and 12th April 2023). The event witnessed the presence of Mr. Raj Shekhar, He is a famous Indian lyricist who made his Bollywood debut as a lyricist with the 2011 film Tanu Weds Manu. He went on to write lyrics for other notable films including Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Tumbbad, Veere Di Wedding, Hichki and Uri: The Surgical Strike on day 1. Mr. Raj interacted with the film making enthusiast, later he selected the winners after reviewing the short film submissions made both online and offline.

On day 2, Mr. Manish Jaisi, an old member of Shutterbugs and National award winner-7th National Photography Awards in a function organized at National Media Centre in Amateur Photographer of the Year category took the photographers through the process of mastering the art. He then declared the winners after going over the photography competition's online and offline entries.

Dictum-The Debating Society of Shivaji College conducted an interactive session "SANIDHYA 1.0" on March 03, 2023. The interview session was conducted with Geet Chaturvedi and Avinash Mishra, two well-known Indian poets and writers. The session was an insightful discussion on their works, inspirations, and the state of contemporary Indian literature. Geet Chaturvedi, known for his distinct style and themes, spoke about his journey as a writer and the evolution of his writing style over the years. He emphasized the importance of experimentation and pushing the boundaries of traditional forms and themes in literature. He also spoke about the role of literature in shaping the cultural and social fabric of the nation. Avinash Mishra spoke about his childhood in a rural village in Uttar Pradesh and how it influenced his literary works. He emphasized the importance of exploring regional and local themes in literature and bringing them to the national and international stage. Both writers discussed their experience of writing in Hindi, which they see as a tool for connecting with the masses and preserving the richness of Indian languages and culture.
The Cultural Committee of Shivaji college, on the February 19, 2023 celebrated the auspicious occasion of ‘Shivaji Jayanti’ in the Jijabai Block auditorium. The Chief Guest for the event was Prof. A. K. Bhagi, President, DUTA & FEDCUTA and the special Guest was Dr. Abhishek Tandon, President, ABVP Delhi State, senior teachers & colleagues. The event was attended by college faculty and students alike and the audience greatly appreciated the remarks about the great Maratha warrior ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji’ and his journey.
Shivaji College, University of Delhi held its Annual Cultural Festival – Vibrations on February 2 -3, 2023. The festival was inaugurated on February 2, 2023 by Sh. Faggan Singh Kulaste, Hon’ble minister of state for consumer affairs, food and public distribution and rural development, Government of India. It was followed by the melodious performance of Niyazi brothers. The first day of the festival saw several colorful events showcasing the talent of the students and participation from all over the university. The dance competition ‘Tanzmania’ was won by Sri Venkateswara College. The fashion competition ‘Panache’ was won by Kamla Nehru College. The highlight was when the faculty members too walked the ramp with the students of Bizarre, the fashion society of Shivaji college. There were several other events by the fine arts society ‘Vibgyor’ and ‘Shutterbugs’ the photographic society. The day ended soulful beats of the ‘Madari band’ and DJ Orpit. The 2nd day of the festival conducted various student centric events and competitions. Udghosh, the Nukkad Natak competition and Swaranjali the music competition were the main highlights of the second day. In addition to this the Shivaji college students saw power-packed with the singer Ankit Tiwari. The crowd sang along tunes of ‘Teri Galiyan’ and ‘Sun Raha hai na’. The Band members entertained the crowd through a medley of popular songs.

Shivaji College, in collaboration with SPIC MACAY, (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music & Culture Amongst Youth) organised a cultural evening with sparkling musical and dance performances on January 24, 2023. The event was organised with the aim to generate and enrich the understanding of cultural heritage among the youth. The first performance was by Sh. Nityanand Haldipur, ranked among India's leading flautists. He is a senior disciple of the reclusive genius, Padma Bhushan Smt. Annapurna Devi and represents the pure essence of a highly revered musical heritage. His wonderful performance left the audience spellbound. The sweet melody from his flute mesmerized the audience with the various ragas of Indian classical music. He was accompanied by an artist on tanpura and by Mr. Vinod Lele on tabla. Pandit ji also interacted with the young audience. The second performance was by Ms. Gauri Diwakar, an acclaimed Kathak dancer and choreographer based in New Delhi. She has been trained by eminent Gurus including Pandit Birju Maharaj. She was accompanied by Sh. Yogesh Gangani on Tabla, Sh. Ayub Khan on Sarangi & Sh. Samiullah Khan on Harmonium. Her performance was interactive where she explained to the audience various mudras, bhav and taal in Kathak. The jugalbandi between Gauri ji and Yogesh ji kept the audience on edge. Her performance ended with her choreography on Vande Mataram. The audience enjoyed the performance.
Dictum, the Debating Society of Shivaji College, successfully and gracefully organized it’s Annual Shivaji Bhosle Hindi Parliamentary Debate Competition from January 14-16, 2023. As one of the most prestigious & largest national championships in the Hindi speaking circuit, Shivaji Bhonsle has 46 teams from all over Delhi and India participating. In the distribution circuit upto Delhi, Shivaji Bhonsle is traditionally ranked first due to its excellent quality & high standard. The three-day program began with an inaugural function on January 14, 2023, in which the chief guest was Mr. Praful Ketkar, Editor-in-Chief of Organizer magazine. On the first day, three league phases were conducted, two phases on day two followed by playoff phase. Quarter finals, semifinals and finals were conducted on the final day.
Shivaji College's cultural committee, Anchorage, organized a cultural orientation program on January 04, 2023 to showcase the college's cultural societies and encourage new students to join them. The event was held in the college auditorium and saw participation from seven different cultural societies. Each society presented its performance, highlighting its skills and talents and giving the audience a glimpse of what they have to offer. Bizarre, the fashion society, presented a fashion show that showcased the latest fashion trends and styles. Dictum, the debating society presented opportunities their Hindi and English division offer, which kept the audience engaged and interested. Footloose, the western dance society, performed a high-energy dance that left the audience mesmerized. Reverb, the music society, showcased their musical talents by performing various musical genres. Shutterbugs, the photography and film-making society, presented a short film and a slide show that showcased their skills in cinematography and photography. Vayam, the drama society, performed a gripping and emotional play that left the audience spellbound. Vibgyor, the fine arts society, did live painting sessions that showcased their creativity and artistic abilities. The event was attended by a large number of students, and it was evident that they enjoyed the performances and were eager to join the societies. An online Orientation Programme was organised for the first-year students on November 15, 2022 on Zoom Platform. The chief guest for the program was Sh. Akshat Kaushal, IPS, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, West District, New Delhi. The programme began with introduction of various Department Teachers’-in charges to the students followed by the committees constituted by the Staff Council of the College. Videos recorded by Conveners of all Societies were shown to the students to make them familiar with the activities of the Societies. Finally, the students were introduced to the administrative staff of the college including all the student dealing assistants.

Anchorage, the Cultural Committee of Shivaji College, organised day-long activities under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Har Ghar Tiranga on August 12, 2022. The programme marks the completion of 75 years of Indian Independence. It calls for everyone to remember the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and admire the hard-earned freedom. Remembering these sacrifices, the Shivaji College organised various events to mark the day including Patriotic Song Singing, Slogan Writing and Poetry Recitation. The theme for the day was ethnic wear. Students wore outfits representing their regions and celebrated the diversity of clothing in India.
