Annual Report - ARC

Alumni Relations Cell envisions to act as a liaison between the students and alumni community. We aim to establish a common platform where students can seek mentorship from the graduates of their respective departments.

Over the past few months, ARC is constantly working towards fulfilling the full potential of both the communities by taking forward initiatives and engagements that matter. ARC also aims to extend opportunities related to jobs, internships and campus placements.

The first initiative undertaken by the cell was #The Know Your Alumni initiative wherein success stories of around 25 alumni members were published on various social media handles including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

The second initiative was Humans of Shivaji, a unique portal to share stories endemic to Shivaji College and to exchange referrals, find like-minded peers, and to appreciate those, who have immense contribution to the college. We have posted stories regarding the same on all our social media handles.

The cell understands the significance of practical skills and awareness about employment opportunities. In an attempt to build a culture conducive to constant up skilling and practical exposure, the Alumni Relations Cell has launched a series called #My Experiments with Internships where current and former students share their internship journeys and takeaways to simply the process for their juniors. We have posted around 5 internship stories of students across various departments.

We have also organized one video podcast with Ms Tanya Chadha, a Shivaji College alumna. She is the chief coordinator of the LADLI FOUNDATION TRUST.
