This course seeks to equip students with an overview of the development of literatures through time. Students will study authors and movements from different regions and time periods.
The course exposes students to a broad range of literary and textual materials from various historical periods and contexts, so that they are able to examine and develop critical analysis skills and a progressive outlook. Through the analysis of literary texts humanities and social sciences scholarship students will develop a nuanced understanding of how to perceive, read, understand, interpret and intervene ethically in debates on varied subjects.
