The Department of Computer Science has been running the B.Sc. (Gen.) Computer Science course successfully since 1985. The curriculum aims at providing an introductory yet comprehensive view of established and emerging areas in diverse scientific field. It also employs application oriented approach, emphasizing development of problem solving skills in students.
The Department has four spacious, air conditioned computer laboratories. They are equipped with 150 computers of the latest configuration, networked to high end servers in the server room. All systems provide access to high end softwares and are Wi-fi enabled, providing access to Internet which can be extended. The labs are equipped with LCD projectors to aid the learning process. An online UPS system is used to provide uninterrupted working environment to the students.
