The College has been a recipient of “Good Practice” award  in Antardhwani 2013, an annual festival  that witnesses participations from all the constituent colleges in University of Delhi .


It has  received major research projects from UGC as well as a total of 10 innovative projects in the field of Arts, Humanities and Science from University of Delhi. These projects have helped the students to stay involved and sharpen their minds to grasp knowledge that goes beyond their prescribed learning.


The College celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 2011, and an International Conference on  “Science, Spirituality and Humanity: Transcending Discipline Barriers” was organised to mark this event. Paper contributions, which touched the sinews of contemporary and interdisciplinary issues, came from national and international participants.

Faculty Enrichment

The College can proudly count the academic achievements of its teaching faculty. Faculty members, namely Dr. Ravi Khaneja, Dr. G.P. Mishra, Mr. Manish Sachdeva, Dr. Jyoti Sharma and Dr. Jitendra Aggarwal, were amongst the teachers who were honoured with the “Best Teacher” award, given by  University of Delhi  for the respective contributions in their field. Apart from this, the university has also sent some of our teachers as Visiting Faculty and Researcher in foreign universities as a part of Faculty-Exchange programmes. While some of our other faculty members have served as Resource Persons in refresher and orientation programmes, a few more from amongst the senior faculty members  have been supervising research scholars from different universities across the country.

Practical Skill Enhancement

Our College has also organised seminars and workshops to enhance the practical and technical skills of its teaching and non-teaching staff. In the year 2014, three workshops – “Computer Security from Industry Perspective”, “Theory of Equation”, and “Introduction to STATA and SPSS” were respectively organised by the Department of Computer Science, Mathematics and Economics. In the same year again, departments of Biochemistry, Botany, Chemistry and Zoology jointly  organized a 3-day workshop for their laboratory assistants and attendants. The college has also organized a National Workshop “RNAomics:  Isolation to Interference” in 2010 with the same purpose of familiarising teachers from various colleges with the latest technical advancements and teaching methodologies.
