Shivaji College: University of Delhi
Shivaji College, a constituent college of University of Delhi, has over the years established itself as an excellent centre for learning with a fine blend of curricular and co curricular activities. College was awarded “Grade A” by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC)in 2015.
Shivaji college was established in the year 1961 by a well known social activist Hon’ble Punjab Rao Deshmukh . It moved to its present location in Raja Garden in 1976.The college celebrated its Golden Jubilee in the year 2010-11. Shivaji college has excelled in all the spheres, be it the academic activities, co curricular activities, students progress or the achievement of its faculty. It is a co-educational institute imparting instruction in various subjects both at under graduate and post-graduate levels. Situated just at the Ring Road , bordering vast tracts of green belt near Raja Garden, college has beautiful and well kept lawns with a variety of plants and tall trees that give it a fresh green look, round the year. The college has a learned and well-maintained sports ground, catering to a huge number of sports enthusiasts in the college. The sports facilities in the college have undergone a major facelift along with the building and other infrastructure. Shivaji college is easily accessible from all parts of Delhi, being connected to various areas by means of the Ring Road, a number of arterial roads and the popular Delhi Metro. The college has made noteworthy progress in all the spheres during the last few years .
